Not a bad ramen to have with dinner
Today I tried this Stirfried Kimchi Ramen from Paldo. It's a spicy-but-not-too-spicy ramen that comes with a packet of "stirfried kimchi". It's a little misleading because they call it a stirfried ramen but it is a stew-type ramen without any stirfried flavor. The ramen itself is very basic, and the soup isnt very interesting. It tastes very similar to Paldo's Teumsae Ramen, but not as rich or spicy. The flavor is not as acidic as shin ramen, yet there is a pretty pronounced kimchi flavor. You can also taste the garlic and pepper flavor. The noodles are a basic ramen noodle with no distinct size or texture. no complaints there.
The real star of the show is the packet of stirfried kimchi that it comes with. It's much more sour and pickled tasting than your standard kimchi, but it's really refreshing to eat with the salty soup. I just wish they gave you a little more though, the kimchi was finished way before the soup, but maybe that's just me
Overall I liked the ramen, but I probably wouldn't buy it again, especially because I like the Teumsae better. However, I will be enjoying the rest of the 4 pack I bought- it's familiar taste and the kimchi on the side is a perfect addition to any meal. I would definitely recommend this to someone who loves kimchi and is just starting out with spicy ramens
