Amazing Ramen in Chicago!
So I think this is the best ramen I’ve ever had in Chicago. I DON’T KNOW THOUGH. This is a difficult title for me to just give out but damn this was so good.
I actually had my wisdom teeth taken out last week so it’s still a bit difficult to chew but even so, this was delicious.
We started our meal with the Uni and Toro rice, which had limited availability. I’m always so scared to order uni at restaurants because 90% of the time, its bitter and fishy. BUT NOT THIS TIME! The uni was so fresh tasting and it went so well with the rice and quail egg. Seriously, I could eat a giant bowl of this.
Onto the ramen. I got the Tokyo Classic Shoyu Ramen, which is a soy sauce based chicken and pork broth. Man, to say the broth was good is an understatement. The broth was so flavorful but not too salty or rich like some other places. I was really surprised at how pronounced the chicken flavor was and how balanced everything tasted
The noodles tasted good, but since my jaw was kind of sore from my surgery, I wasn’t able to enjoy the texture with my full ability. Therefore, I need to give it another try and will update this portion of the review later :)
Overall though, the vibes, the ramen flavors, and the friendly staff has really impressed me. Please go try it out!
